Up for your consideration today is my stunning and all original Baume and Mercier 908 Chrono from the 1940s. This watch has to be seen in person to be fully appreciated. I did my best with pictures but they cannot compare to how well it wears on the wrist and how stunning the dial and handset are together in natural light. The hands are genuine heat-blued and all original, with no reluming or replacements to my knowledge. The acrylic crystal is in mint condition with no deep scratches, or scuffs except for one mark that can only be seen when looking parallel to the watch from 6 o'clock. I do not have a timegrapher but it keeps good time under normal wear, about +20s per day maybe. Using the chrono function makes it less accurate but I have not quantified that change yet. The 30-minute chrono timer functions great otherwise with the top pusher being start/restart and the bottom being stop/reset (very interesting). The previous owner had the watch serviced here in Boise Idaho by our local watchmaker about 2 years ago. I have not opened up the case. Here are the all-important dimensions: * 36mm diameter (wears a little larger, like a typical 38mm) * 11.5mm thick (8.1mm without crystal!) * 43mm lug to lug * 18mm lug width I'm asking $2750 shipped in the CONUS. I'm open to trades for other interesting sub 40mm watches, especially CW C60 Trident Pro 300s. Thank you for checking this beuty out!
