The Actus variant had a higher jeweled movement and was marketed as “young, activity line”, compared to the standard Seiko 5. "SS" logo is also found on some of the Seiko 5Actus models which mean the short form of Second Setting. Examples with the SS logo are housing movement with hacking function. This one of them, it has hacking. The date changing mechanism of the movement is rather special. By pressing the crown into the watch, the date will click and change automatically.
