The watch is keeping accurate time, currently adjusted within less than 60 seconds per day on a full wind. **Case:** The Criterion Watch Case Company was founded in 1894 and would close shop just 6 years later in 1901. Their cases are stamped "14k", but a keen eye can tell that the cases were simply plated. They mainly made inexpensive watch cases, so to find a higher end model with impressive engraving work is quite rare. This case has plenty of wear where the plating has rubbed off, but the details in the engraving are still prominent and beautiful. The case is period correct and possibly original to the movement, few records exist today from Criterion due to the fire in 1898 and their short time in business. The crystal is in fantastic shape, likely owed to its hinged front cover.
