Posting this in the Japanese section because we all know this is where everyone hangs out and I was forced to choose a home for the listing...

Up for a grabs is a staking set that I picked up recently, always intending to sell it. Upon receipt I found that a bunch of the stakes were quite rusty, and some were actually rusted into the box. I inexplicably decided that it would be a worthwhile investment of my time and effort to clean it up, and this is the result.

Some of the stakes are considerably worse for wear; most turned out just fine but the finish on many of them (originally a rather nice, subtle brushing) is far from perfect. The worst of them are the ones that had to be extracted from the box with vice grips. All should now be fine functionally.  The really gnarly ones were soaked in rust remover, then very carefully brushed clean. Many required the use of a Dremel with a wire wheel. The stumps were in pretty good shape overall.  I also drilled out the holes in the box that were blocked up with rust, applied a new coat of poly, and cleaned the metal fixtures.

The price doesn't reflect the time I put in, since it was an unnecessary labor of love to try and save this, and is lower than most of the ones you'll see on eBay, although I'm open to reasonable offers.

I've included representative pics and am happy to answer any questions regarding the stakes/stumps included and their condition. Buyer is more than welcome to the four damaged stakes that came with it if desired.
