Good evening, WatchEx! Ok, I lied - here's one more for tonight: the Swiss-made Gevril Vaughn pilot's watch. If you're browsing grey/secondary market options for an affordable Swiss automatic, you've probably come across Gevril, or their more affordable GV2 line. While it's easy to directly associate the brand with cheap watches, the modern Gevril-branded stuff is really quite nice. A shining example of that quality is this watxh - excellent finishing, a smooth case design that's without any sharp or abrupt edges on the case, a reliable movement, and a very legible blue/white colorway. If you're after an affordable daily wearer but don't want to drop a stack on a Sinn or other comparable three-hander, this watch is perfect. Ignoring the obviously inflated retail price (see link below,) this is watch absolutely belongs against other Swiss watches priced near the 1k mark. It's a larger watch at 44mm, but it's well-proportioned and actually quite comfortable on my 6.75-7" wrist.
