Hello WatchExchange, Up for sale is a vintage Seiko dress watch from 1982, with a gray textured dial that resembled the Grand Seiko “White Birch”. Here is more info about the watch: * Ref. #: 6030-5420 * Serial #: 241866 * Dimension (W x H): 30mm x 30mm * Lug-To-Lug: 35mm * Lug Width: 17mm * Thickness: 5mm You can see the watch on my 6.75’’ wrist in the photo. The watch is in pristine condition for a 40 years old watch, with the year engraved on the back. The engraving is for 25 years of service with the Tokyo Shibaura Electronics Company, which are still in business today. The watch dimension is perfect for most wrist sizes, and it is super thin which is perfect for dressing up for any occasion. The watch does not have the original strap or buckle. It will come on a high-quality calf leather strap and will come in a felt bag for extra protection. The price $70 here includes shipping for CONUS, and I can definitely work out shipping prices for other countries/regions. I can take PayPal F&F, Zelle, and Venmo. The company was founded in 1881, when Kintarō Hattori opened a watch and jewelry shop called "K. Hattori" (服部時計店 Hattori Tokeiten?) in the Ginza area of Tokyo, Japan. Eleven years later, in 1892, he began to produce clocks under the name Seikosha (精工舎 Seikōsha?), meaning roughly "House of Exquisite Workmanship". According to Seiko's official company history, titled "A Journey In Time: The Remarkable Story of Seiko" (2003), Seiko is a Japanese word meaning "exquisite" or "success" ("exquisite" is usually written 精巧 from Chinese jīngqiǎo, while the meaning "success" is usually written 成功 from Chinese chénggōng).

Seiko is perhaps best known for its wristwatches, all of which were at one time produced entirely in-house. This includes not only major items such as microgears, motors, hands, crystal oscillators, batteries, sensors, LCDs but also minor items such as the oils used in lubricating the watches and the luminous compounds used on the hands and the dials.
