Tough, rugged yet beautiful and functional this watch combines the aesthetics of highly sought after vintage soda-named GMTs and their warm toned aluminum bezels with the comfort of a modern excellently engineered bracelet and a very wearable case. Monta really knocked it out of the park. Thin case, short lug to lug, 300m water resistance, a reliable and accurate movement and a top-of-the-line bracelet that tapers from 20mm at the lugs to 16mm at the clasp. This walks a fine line between vintage style diver and modern GMT and it does so with grace and not coming off as trying to be something it is not, which is often the case with retro divers that are so popular nowadays. This particular version is the non-gilt dial, which eliminates the controversial "fauxtina" of amber colored numbers and hour markers and instead has a more modern white look. It works on a variety of wrists and wears comfortably on my 16cm wrist.
