For sale/trade is a very rare and eye catching vintage mechanical alarm watch by Citizen. It has a beautiful champagne/silver dial with silver indices and looks fantastic with an either strap option pictured. Reference: ALO53001-Y Year: 1967 Movement: Likely Citizen 3102, hand-winding caliber (running between 0 and +4 sec/day, smooth winding) 21 jewels Case size: 37 mm Thickness: 12 mm Lug-to-lug: 43 mm Lug width: 20 mm Domed sapphire crystal Choice of strap Citizen box (random) One thing I really like about this watch is the dimensions. Typically vintage watches are a bit small for my liking but at 37mm and 20mm lug width this watch wears very nicely with its modern dimensions. The alarm function works great and is fun to play with. To set the alarm, you rotate the top crown to move the alarm hand to the desired time, push the alarm crown in and wind the alarm crown, then pull out the alarm crown to set the alarm to "on." To turn the alarm off, push the alarm crown in. The alarm buzzes for about 12 seconds (link to audio below). Very cool feature. The watch is in excellent condition especially for being 57 years old. The domed sapphire crystal is in great shape, just a minor scratch at about 10 o’clock that is only visible at certain angles.
