Please comment in the thread prior to DMing! **Specs**: * 42mm wide w/o crown, 22mm lugs * ~13m thick * NH36, installed by a watchmaker [**Photos**](https://imgur.com/a/skx011-AtYndFi) For sale is a Seiko SKX011, that’s been modded. Original jangly SKX bracelet! I had a watchmaker swap the NH36 movement in (the original 7s26a was broken when I got it), so it hacks and handwinds. It has a black kanji day wheel, and a white date wheel. The bezel insert is silver on black, and I believe was replaced at the same time the seconds hand was. This watch is really fun, the orange and gold is a great match! I just don’t wear it, and I’m looking to consolidate. It’ll ship in a non-seiko box, no original box, no original papers. Bracelet is currently sized to a 6.5” wrist, and I believe I have a few extra links. I’m not the first owner, this watch has been worn, and it shows! Tried to show in photos as best I could, happy to provide more photos as needed. I’m asking **$220 ORBO** net to me (shipping CONUS included), via PayPal F&F. Not interested in trades at this time, trying to consolidate!

The company was founded in 1881, when Kintarō Hattori opened a watch and jewelry shop called "K. Hattori" (服部時計店 Hattori Tokeiten?) in the Ginza area of Tokyo, Japan. Eleven years later, in 1892, he began to produce clocks under the name Seikosha (精工舎 Seikōsha?), meaning roughly "House of Exquisite Workmanship". According to Seiko's official company history, titled "A Journey In Time: The Remarkable Story of Seiko" (2003), Seiko is a Japanese word meaning "exquisite" or "success" ("exquisite" is usually written 精巧 from Chinese jīngqiǎo, while the meaning "success" is usually written 成功 from Chinese chénggōng).

Seiko is perhaps best known for its wristwatches, all of which were at one time produced entirely in-house. This includes not only major items such as microgears, motors, hands, crystal oscillators, batteries, sensors, LCDs but also minor items such as the oils used in lubricating the watches and the luminous compounds used on the hands and the dials.
