Omega Electronic F300Hz Chronometer 198.020

This Omega f300 Tuning Fork "Hummer" Chronometer that was fully Serviced in February 2023 and carries the balance of the 24 month warranty from John at Budget Accutron. (service cost was around 420)
The watch has been full disassembled, cleaned, new gaskets, coils, and a new (extremely hard to find) NOS OEM Omega chapter ring installed, reassembled and is running like new!
The case is in good shape and sharp for the age. some minor marks.
The Omega Signed acrylic crystal is clean with minute signs of general wear.
The time and dates set as they should and the watch keeps good time and is Humming away nicely.
(The Omega f300 chronometers were tested to mechanical movement standards and passed with flying colors. These watches differed from your run-of-the-mill quartz watches - the tuning fork means that the second's hand sweeps in a smooth continuous arc around the dial and it emits an audible hum as it powers the watch, hence its nickname.)

(here is an excerpt from John about tuning fork watches: "the remarkable tuning fork index mechanism of the Accutron works well only when it is properly phased and adjusted. The jeweled index fingers must have the proper force pushing against the index wheel and they must have the proper orientation with the index wheel and each other. If not, poor time keeping, stopping, or rapid time gaining will result. There are 9 separate and precise adjustments required for the index mechanism alone. Once the index mechanism is fixed, fine adjustments in time keeping can also be made by adjusting fork frequency." )
