On the fence on this one. I've wanted a Slim Willard for many years and I think this is the one, but I have a bunch of projects going and I'm not sure I want to add another one to the mix.

To the best of my knowledge... 100% original. PLEASE! If I am mistaken, let me know. I love divers, I love vintage divers but I know little about Seiko.

Seiko 6105-8009 from February 1970

***Please consider the photos are used with the highest macro setting I have. I'm not sure why the lume on the dial is coming across with a green ish tint as though it's been redone, I don't believe that to be the case. The photos are unedited in any way.

*The case is super clean given its 54 year old age. of course there are some scratches, but no dents. The radial brushing on the top of the lugs appears to be original without slight inclusions. Un polished and the edges are all very crisp and sharp.

*Crown and tube in nice shape-seems fully functional

*Bezel is tight and very nice, insert has no major gouges. Coined edges are sharp and clean.

*Crystal is pretty chewed up. no cracks or deep gouges. One could polish it out but with OEM originals available for $100.00 or so and aftermarket for $50.00 its hard to justify the labor cost to polish it in my book.

*Dial looks great.. very clean. No lume whats ever... to be expected I suppose. No corrosion.

*Hands are a bit tired looking, but original. No bends or chips.

*Caseback engravings are very present and the wear is constant with the rest of the case.

*Original 6105 is not working. Rotor is missing. Included with the sale is a functional 6106C. This is NOT a 1:1 replacement however, many of the parts are correctly interchangeable. Perfect for service.

To my best estimate, it would take about $500.00 to make this an amazing example if you needed to pay someone for everything. Thats a new factory crystal, a full service on the 6105, gasket set and for me, the $150.00 for Jack at IWW to put a period looking lume on the dial and hands would be worth it... that might not be your thing, so deduct that from the total above.

As I mentioned, I can't decide if I want to complete this one. I'm stock piling too many projects at the moment. IF someone wants the take the reigns on this at $900.00, its yours... if this ad runs for a couple weeks with no bites, I'll just put it on hold and maybe complete her when I get my head above water on these others.

Estimated Private Party Value $938 — $1,973
