Up for sale is a discontinued Sinn 756 UTC Diapal. Selling it to make room in my collection, regrettably. About: I bought this watch because it has all of Sinn’s coolest technology, some of which are singular in the entire watch industry. To me, it puts an IWC pilot chronograph to shame, and is the pure embodiment of a purpose-built tool watch — even more than most dive watches. When you consider all of the tech that it packs, it makes other big name watch brands seem quite lazy: Tegimented case to prevent most scratches, special oils to make the timekeeping reliable in extreme heat and cold, DIAPAL lubricant-free escapement, which makes the service internal ~8-10 years since there is no oil to dry out, AR de-humidifying technology to prevent fogging and moisture build-up in the watch, antimagnetic cage for protection up to 80,000 A/m, low pressure resistant, 200 meter water resistance, and some of the best AR coating on both sides of the sapphire crystal that make the crystal almost disappear. The spec list is awesome. There really is no watch in production — other than some other stuff from Sinn that can rival all of this tech. What took this watch over the top for though, was the wearable 40mm diameter (I have 6.4 inch wrists), 14mm thickness - relatively thin for a 20 bar WR Valjoux based chronograph, and the electroplated subdials that add a touch of bling to the matte look. The subdials are oversized because of the lack of a running seconds. This makes the chronograph especially readable — and thus useful. Also, it has a hand for a second time zone (hence the UTC in its name) which can hid under the hours hand. Condition: The bezel and case have dings. But the tegimented surface treatment means that there are very few “scratches” on the case. The dings are a result of the softer stainless steel under the surface treatment, from impacts. The bracelet is also tegimented, and does show some signs of use, such as on the inside of the clasp. Overall, the watch is in good condition. It had a full service in March 2022. The service included replacement of the copper sulphate capsule, which you can see from the photos is a pale blue. Scope: Includes Watch, Sinn inner and outer box, original warranty card, service warranty card, extra bracelet links, Sinn rubber strap clasp, Sinn rubber strap, which has been cut down to fit my wrist of 6.4 inches (could be let out to accommodate a 6.5-6.6 inch wrist, or you can buy just the rubber strap without the clasp from Watchbuys and cut it to your own size), and booklet.
