[WTS] Jaeger-LeCoultre Dirty Dozen WWW cal 479 1945 RAF WW2 Pilot watch $2750
Watch, Wrist, Waterproof. This was the code established by the British Army to distinguish these from all other military equipment. The MoD (Ministry of Defense) expected for each wristwatch to be waterproof, luminous, chronometer regulated & a hardy case. Like most other military watches, these had to have black dials, Arabic numerals & subsidiary seconds for maximum legibility. All 12 of the Dirty Dozen were ordered by the MoD during WWII & delivered roughly 145,000 of them in 1945. Jaeger made roughly 6,000 during the war, making it one of the rarer of the Dozen. This watch is in good, all original condition with intact radium lume, all original parts. The unpolished watch has scuffs commensurate with its age and use, but its original shape is fully intact with no major dents or gauges - though the base metal is beginning to show. Price: $2750 on the new strap pictured (later pictures) or $2650 on a NATO Price OBO including shipping (CONUS, Paypal F&F, or Zelle) (2750\*1.029=$2830 PP G&S). International shipping available, but I'll have to find out how much it costs before I quote.
