It sets the watches high so you can see more watch bands. Because the cushion is half shaped, the watch bands are not pressured and hanged down loosely to the soft lined bottom. I have 6.5 inch wrist for reference. The watch box is in the same condition as it came out of shipping package. I only put my watches in for a few minutes for staging.
