As most collectors know, the vintage UG pieces are skyrocketing in price. This Universal Genève Tonneau ref. 842137 is a vintage timepiece that carries with it a rich history of Swiss watchmaking excellence. This tonneau-shaped, textured dial example is understated until it catches the light, and then the “sunburst denim waterfall” dial turns eye-catching. All-steel with a stupidly comfortable mesh bracelet, it’s one of my favorite personal pieces.Features: The case is excellent with no major scratches or dents and no signs of any polishing. The case remains sharp with the original brushed/ beveled finishing still present. Dimensions ▫ Case Size: 39mm x 34mm ▫ Case Thickness: 6mm ▫ Lug Width: 22mm ▫Movement: Universal Geneve cal. 1-42, manual winding \*Asking $750 **1948 Vintage Solid Gold Waltham Tank - Fully Serviced** I have a real gem available today, something that you simply can't get from any modern manufacturer even many times the price. This watch is from my personal collection, but I have a new one incoming and have decided to part with it. As most collectors know, Waltham is the OLDEST American watchmaker in history. This is a vintage Waltham tank style watch, hand-winding, cased in solid 14k gold, produced in April, 1948. How can I be so sure of the date? I've cross-referenced the movement serial number with [scanned Waltham production ledgers](https://nawccinfo.nawcc.org/walscans/BookGray/gp112n32474001_33246100.pdf). I was able to pinpoint the exact month and year it was produced based on the range. I will provide printouts of the ledger page with the watch's serial number highlighted. The scans are from the NAWCC website. Dimensions of the watch are as follows: 21.5mm wide, 10mm thick at the highest point of the crystal, 38mm lug to lug, and 16mm lug width. It is sized and shaped similarly to a classic Cartier Tank. The dial is an original Waltham. The logo, numerals and hour track appear to be completely untouched. The dial probably began its life white and has patina’d to a very subtle and smooth champagne color and is remarkably blemish free. The case is, as was mentioned, solid 14k gold. There's just something extra special about solid gold- it both looks and feels differently from a plated watch. You can notice the very slight extra heft when holding it. The case is in remarkable condition, straight and clean with no damage and very few cosmetic blemishes. The caseback is clean and thick, and snaps tightly to the rest of the case. The movement is a beautiful manual wind with a large 40+ hour power reserve. The movement received a full service in March of this year. Running very strong. The watch unfortunately doesn't include the box or paperwork, but I will include the Waltham ledger sheet showing its date of manufacture. This is a great opportunity to add a piece of true elegance and history. Nowhere can you get a solid gold modern watch for anywhere close to this price, and buying an unserviced piece can be a real gamble. This one is ready to go. \*Asking $750
