Hi Gang,
This is my first sale on OF after a good number of purchases. Time to pare down my collection. First up is this vintage beauty.
I bought this watch around 2 years ago: https://omegaforums.net/threads/vintage-record-watch-co-triple-date-moonphase-watch.153129/
This watch is unusual for 3 reasons:
1) Pristine condition
2) A very rare EA Certina cased watch. EA Certina was a US based collaboration involving the Illinois Watch Case Company. Some good history can be found here: https://www.vintagecertinas.ch/en/certina-ea-2/
3) A very rare dial...I've only come across one other Record Datofix with this dial after a lot of internet searching.
The previous owner had the watch serviced in 2022 and it is completely functional. When I tested on my timegrapher, it had a beat error of 0-0.1, amplitude of ~250, and a rate of 10-20 s/d based on position.
Its a Record Cal. 107C movement that is stamped as an EA 23-0212 movement.
34 mm case, 18 mm lugs.
I'm asking $1500 with strap and shipping included. Wire, zelle, paypal or Venmo for payment.
Hit me with any questions or if I left out anything important.
Thanks!
