Up for sale is a Vacheron Constantin ultra thin reference 6290, dating back to the 1950s / 1960s. The watch case is made of 18k white gold, and measures in at 5mm thick. The case dimensions are 26mm x 26mm. This watch is like having a postage stamp on the wrist. The case houses Vacheron's beautiful caliber 1003 hand wind movement, which is currently running at about 35 spd. Notwithstanding that, I don't believe it's in immediate need of a service. The dial on this watch is in excellent shape, with some very minor spotting. It is hard to tell, but the dial may be enamal. The hallmark on the inside of the caseback indicates that the case was made by one of the most prestigious and established case makers in Geneve--Wenger--as indicated by the Geneva Key No. 1 mark. This watch comes with a vintage black strap.
