Hi everyone, This is an Ultra rare chronograph watch made in France. Only seen one other in the wild. Unpolished. All original. This is a fully French in-house movement watch. "France" stamped on the bottom of the dial and on the movement, case back as well. Keeping excellent time. . Everything is working fine and good to go for another 50 years to come. The case size is approximately 38mm which makes it a modern dimensional watch. The sunburst dial is clean and lovely. The only issue is the luminous paint has lost its ability to glow, which is not surprising as this is a 70 year old watch. This is a lovely watch, but my eye's aren't what they used to be and I can't read the Telemeter or chapter rings any more. LeJour was the US Brand of Yema. You can tell it’s for the US market because the telemeter scale in Miles. The Yema version is in Kilometers. The movement is a Venus 188, precursor to the Valjoux 7730. That puts this likely from the 1950’s. LeJour was a French watch company that mainly retailed and distributed Swiss timepieces in Europe and the United States. Its most well-known partner was HEUER, but it was also the U.S. distributor for the brand Yema until 1980. During the 1980s with the shift of demand from High-end Mechanical Watches to the mass-oriented Quartz Revolution, Like many other European manufacturers, even Le Jour began to phase out the production and with time eventually for unknown reasons faded away completely. Comes with Strap only and strap is showing wear, no bracelet Asking $800, Free shipping USA. Venmo or paypal. hit me up for any questions.
