A solid gold triple calendar within the Holy Trinity for under 10K, need I say more? Of course I do, because this thing is a work of art and it deserves a little poetic waxing! The Vacheron Constantin Triple Calendar ref 47051 was VC dipping back into their history with a 90s take on a 50s classic. You get that beautiful mid century flavor with the flared lugs paired with modern conveniences like an automatic movement and sapphire crystal. The fit and finish is just incredible, and at a price point that is hard to beat, especially in a full, double boxed and papers collector set! REF: 47051 / 000J DATE: 1990s DIAL: Incredibly elegant white dial with a gorgeous stucco-like texture. So much packed in with the triple calendar and yet they managed to keep the layout so clean. Check out the blued date pointer… this is a dial you just wanna loupe for hours! Even in macro it presents perfectly, including the sapphire crystal. CASE: 36MM solid 18k yellow gold case. Those beautiful flared lugs measure 41.5 MM, giving this a lot of wrist presence, I would say wearing more like a 38MM. Classic vintage design in the perfect modern size. Crisp and clean lines, with deep hallmarks, appears unpolished. Of course being 18K there is light wear throughout, but disappears on the wrist and looks fantastic.
