Ulysee Nardin is a fascinating watch brand that has managed to effectively convey the brand's rich history via modern timepieces such as this Marine Chronograph Annual Calendar. The 43mm wide stainless steel watch offers a ton of visual and technically advanced features that are ludicrously compelling. Although 43mm wide, it's thanks to the coherence of the case that allows the watch to make a ton of sense on the wrist.

The characterful components do not start and end with the case though, as the dial has a lot to shout about here. Stark white roman numerals consistently help frame the watch. Then things step up a gear as we find 30 minute, 12 hour, and annual calendar sub-dials at the 3, 6, and 9 positions respectively. Gothic-like hands allow this watch’s true personality to shine through. A handy date window at the 6 o’clock position is framed via a rounded disk, in keeping with the whole ethos of the piece.

There is no mistaking a Ulysee Nardin on the wrist, and with this chronograph annual calendar model chances are it won’t be leaving said wrist in a hurry.
