The Details:

The Uni-Racer by Massena Lab was designed as an homage to the unique Universal Genève Uni-Compax Big Eye, produced in the mid-1960s and known by its striking dial configuration with two sub-dials at the 3 and 9 o’clock positions, with the register at the 3 o’clock position significantly larger than the one at the 9 o’clock. The Massena Lab Uni Racer took three years to develop, with careful attention paid to all the fine details in this meticulously crafted timepiece.

The Uni-Racer UR-001 Panda Dial features a 39mm stainless steel case with both brushed and polished finishing, a polished fixed stainless steel bezel, and a highly domed acrylic crystal with an engraved logo at the center. The white chronograph sector dial features an outer chapter ring with a tachymeter scale, an outer minute track in black, lumed hour markers, lumed and blued hour, minute, and chronograph hands, lumed sub-dial hands, black sub-dials at the 3 and 6 o’clock positions with an oversized 30-minute counter at the 3 o’clock position, and a running seconds counter at the 6 o’clock position. Powered by a Sellita SW510 M Elaboré manual wind movement, the Uni-Racer has a 58-hour power reserve and is water resistant to 50 meters.

The Condition:

This Massena Lab Uni-Racer UR-001 Panda Dial includes the original box with the production number, the operating instructions booklet with the international warranty card, and the original blue Italian-made leather strap with a stainless steel buckle. Some wear is present on the case and case back, visible in the photographs.
