Have to finish out 2024 with one of my most requested watches, a piece that’s been flying off the shelf all year, the absolute classic Cartier Tank Lemon Roman dial with manual wound movement. Not only is this the one everyone’s after, and for good reason, but this is a beautiful example in an incredible box and card and papers collector set with original strap and buckle! DIAL: The Lemon Roman dial is classic vintage Cartier. This is a beautiful example, appears mint to the naked eye, some very light patina near the edges seen under a loupe. All in about as clean as they come, including those gorgeous blued hands. CASE: This is the vintage men’s version, measuring in at 23.5MM x 30.5MM. A small and classy watch, equally suitable as unisex watch. Pictured on my 6.6 inch wrist, it wears beautifully. The Vermeil case, a Cartier staple of gold over sterling silver appears unpolished with some sweet patina forming on the gold. Has wear throughout, as to be expected given the age, but looks fantastic on the wrist. MOVEMENT: Hand wound mechanical movement running beautifully. Service history is unknown, but winding and setting is very smooth and timegrapher numbers are fantastic at just 1 second a day and a very healthy amplitude of 284. STRAP: Comes on it’s original brown lizard Cartier strap and buckle! These aren’t usually found as vintage leather breaks down over the years. This definitely has wear but still fairly wearable. Of course I want to keep it complete as always, but will also include a brand new black lizard strap. ACCESSORIES: Awesome box and papers and card collector set!
