Tank-style watches don’t have to be expensive, even if they have a hi-beat movement inside. This vintage Laurens ticks all the boxes for those who want a cheap midsize watch with a reliable calibre. It’s also in good shape, with only a few scratches on the acrylic crystal. According to my research, Laurens was established in 1934 by Vincenzo Melli. The company seemed to operate mostly in France and Italy. Not much else is known about it, though.
