On offer is one of my favorite solid 14K yellow gold 'Bubblebacks' that I've owned since the 1980's. You don't see these true Bubblebacks with the 31mm solid gold cases come to market very often. This example is from 1946 and has an extremely rare, original dial that looks outstanding with the original solid gold 'dagger' handset! The dial is marked 'SWISS MADE' under the 6 o'clock position. It is hard to see as the inner bezel ring is covering most of it up. I guarantee that this dial is original as stated and not refinished in any way, shape or form. 31mm SOLID 14K yellow gold case is in extremely fine condition and the desirable 'engine turned' screwdown bezel is in very good condition as well. The case reference is 4777. The original, SIGNED 'Rolex Oyster' screwdown crown is also in excellent condition and screws down like it should. I don't recommend wearing these old Bubblebacks underwater as this one is 79 years old. Watch is running, winding and setting well however, I have not had it serviced in over 15 years and I would highly recommend that you have it serviced if you plan on wearing it on a regular basis. As I have stated, it is currently running well.
