[WTS] Tom Ford No.002 Ocean Plastic Swiss Automatic (x5, lots of strap options)
[WTS] Tom Ford No.002 Ocean Plastic Swiss Automatic (x5, lots of strap options)
Good evening, WatchEx! As promised, more TF automatics! Imagine that, me selling more blacked out watches. You may have seen the TF automatic chronographs I've sold lately, well now it's time for their Swiss diver to enter the ring. A similar design to the chronograph, this fixed-lug diver is made from a combination of dense ocean plastic and DLC coated stainless steel - making this an extremely comfortable wearer. Lightweight, but not cheap feeling. I kept one for a personal watch and honestly wear it all the time - just a good, clean, easy watch for anything, and one I don't need to worry about banging around. The layout is pretty simple/clean - three hander with date, powered by the ever-reliable ETA 2824. The markers/numerals are cleanly applied with a very subtle, low-profile raised look, and the white lume-painted hands offer a clean contrast against the matte black. The case is the real statement here - black ocean plastic with a pretty unique fixed lug structure that I've only ever seen on the Tudor Pelagos FXD. This will limit your strap options a bit, but the look is absolutely killer with a nice nato or single-pass strap - the white, blue, camo, and yellow straps in photos are OEM, the others are aftermarket (new), including my favorite adjustable single-pass straps from Crown & Buckle (the Chevron.) The lug width calls for 21mm, but as the fixed lugs are bridged, just about anything nato or single-pass strap will work well. The box/presentation is exactly what you'd expect from Tom Ford if you've ever had their colognes - clean, simple, and elegant. It's not too bulky of a watch, either - 42mm, but wears nicely on my 6.75" wrist thanks to a relatively short lug to lug distance. It's very well balanced, and feels somewhere in the range of 40-41mm, in my opinion. The black color way was a wise choice as it does make it look a bit more inconspicuous. This is in brand new condition, only tried on for photos. Box, booklet etc all included, as well as your choice of one of the other single pass straps in the timestamp photo. If the strap you want is taken, I'll gladly put another order in for more. Original MSRP of $1,295 - but I've priced it more accordingly with other lesser-known Swiss divers I've had in the past. Quick Specs: - Reference: TF002 Ocean Plastic Diver - Ocean Plastic case/bezel insert, black DLC coated bezel and caseback - 42mm Case - 12mm Thin - 21mm Lug Width (20mm straps also work well, technically there's no minimum size with fixed lugs) - 10bar/100m Water Resistance - Screw Down Crown - Domed Sapphire Crystal - Movement: ETA 2824 Automatic - Mint, new condition.
