Very little wear on the case & on acrylic crystal. Full stainless case with screw down case back. I believe the case is unpolished, except the case back lightly polished in the past. The movement is very clean & running well, however the service history is unknown. What makes this timepiece exceptional: Caliber 22A, which powers this watch, is the first automatic movement manufactured by LONGINES, put on the market in 1945. This caliber, which at the time represented a break with the principles of watchmaking construction used until then by the company, is characterized by a bi-directional rotor operating the winding in both directions, a feature found on most automatic movements today.
