Chocolate is great. Pizza too. Some things are so universally agreed upon they can go unsaid. Arguably the awesomeness of a Grand Seiko dial falls into that category. But… sometimes they really outdo themselves and we have to chat - case in point the INSANE green dial on this Watches of Switzerland limited edition of just 200! I’ll let the macro photos do most of the talking here - louping this thing is like taking a psychedelic trip through the space-time continuum! With just 200 out there these don’t pop up often, and this is a full set, just over a year old, under warranty and ready to be drooled over. REFERENCE: SBGH335G YEAR: 2024 DIAL: Again, I’ll let the macro shots do most of the talking but I will say it goes from this vibrant green to more of a subdued teal depending on the light, and the pattern is truly a work of art, inspired by the nighttime cosmos above Jodogahama beach in Miyako, Japan. All in mint condition, including the sapphire crystal. Check out that pattern! CASE: 40mm stainless, GS’s historic 62GS case design feels fantastic, photographed on my 6.6 inch wrist. Incredible lines highlighted by that Zaratsu polishing. Has some light scratches seen up close, which is always the case with the highly polished GS surfaces, but all in looks great, and such a comfortable watch to wear! MOVEMENT: Grand Seiko’s in house hi-beat automatic cal 9S85, seen through the sapphire case back. Beautiful movement with a 55 hour power reserve, and as you would imagine for a year-old GS still under warranty it’s running perfectly, with timegrapher showing well within spec at just 3 seconds a day and a healthy amplitude of 284. BRACELET: Comes on its original stainless GS bracelet, currently fitting up to app 7.25 inches, plus an extra link included. Has light wear on a few of the links, but all in also looks great. ACCESSORIES: Full AD boxed set - outer cardboard box, inner GS watch case, GS Watches of Switzerland warranty card, GS inspection certificate, booklet, both hang tangs included the serialized tag, watch cloth - everything kept from new!
