Good evening, WatchEx! Third and final for tonight - a gorgeous example of the pinnacle of 70's watchmaking, the Omega Electronic f300hz Chronometer (198.030.) As much as I love a good black watch, I've been on a real gold kick lately - and I gotta say, loving an all-gold, battery powered watch was not on my 2025 bingo card. For years I shunned gold watches, only to actively seek them out over the last year or so. Am I old? The Electronic Omegas are really a marvel - the buttery smooth sweeping second hand, the very light electric whirring of the movement when you hold it up to your ear is truly a unique thing in this hobby. It's a set and forget watch that runs incredibly smooth - so much so that you'll forget it's technically a quartz movement. This variant has a gold dial with really sharp piano-black markers, and the whole thing is in very good condition for its age of ~50 years. It's comfortable, reliable, and just the right amount of flashy - and a size that'll work with any wrist. I'll probably be sad to ship this one off. Quick Specs: - Reference: 198.030 - Gold plated steel case - 39mm Case - 11mm Thin (including top hat crystal) - 19mm Lug Width - 3bar/30m Water Resistance - Movement: Omega Cal.1250 Tuning Fork - Watch only, with new Hirsch Toronto leather and two gold mesh bracelets - Good overall condition, hairlines throughout case, faint marks on crystal (a polish would have this looking new - no patina visible) - Caseback engraved for one C.T. Hall, commemorating 30 years of "Cities Service" - no idea who that is or what city, but cool to know someone worked their ass off for 30 years to be awarded this Omega. Price is shipped/insured within the US (UPS/FedEx 2-Day, international shipping available at buyer's expense (typically not more than $50.) Zelle preferred, PP F&F also accepted. Tons of refs on here, hundreds more on various reputable watch groups on Facebook. Sale heavily preferred, trades considered around the $800 mark, or trade + cash going either way. Thanks for looking - Cheers!
