**Hello everyone!** This is a very interesting vintage Universal Genève dress watch in solid 14K rose gold, approx. 35mm, with a stepped bezel and fancy lugs. These watches were not sold publicly—they were commissioned by King Saud of Saudi Arabia in the early 1960s and gifted to members of the Saudi Armed Forces or government officials. The dial features the Saudi emblem (palm tree with crossed swords) at 12 o’clock and King Saud’s Arabic signature at 6 o’clock. Most of these were made in yellow gold—rose gold examples are significantly harder to find. The dial is original with a textured finish and applied indices. Original non-luminous rose gold hands. The case is in clean condition with sharp lugs and defined edges. It runs on the Universal Genève calibre 332 manual wind movement, which winds smoothly and keeps time. Service history is unknown, but the watch runs well and recently had a new gasket installed. Comes on an aftermarket brown leather strap (no UG buckle).
