Today I have one of my favorite vintage pieces in amazing shape! This is part of a recent purge I have to make to make room for a new watch coming into the collection! It makes me a bit sad to see this go, but it’s gotta go! I wore it mostly on a black NATO, but when I send it off, it will come on a weatherproof, calf skin leather strap from L.L. Bean. The watch is 35mm and has a lug width of 18mm, and a glorious thickness of 10mm. Condition: I will not lie, this is a 40+ year old watch and the case has seen a full, active life . There are daily use scuffs on the case and bezel, and there are 2 little dents along the beveled edge. The medallion on the back is also a little rough with some corrosion on the brass, so that might eventually need replacement. BUT it is completely unpolished, and the dial is pristine so it’s still an absolute beauty. I tried to capture everything at harsh angles to highlight the condition, but in daily life it’s not as prevalent! Functionally, the watch has been serviced in the last month or so and is running at a chronometer spec of -5 sec/day. The day/date change is snappy, and is just a joy to wear.
