Hello WatchEx! Here’s a very cool vintage Citizen Leopard. Citizen doesn’t get as much attention as Seiko for their vintage watches but this line holds its own against anything equivalent from Seiko in the 70s. This watch has a damn glitter dial. A glitter dial! It’s not ostentatious but gives it some nice flair. The original bracelet is also really cool and in good shape, including signed citizen clasp. It fits my 7.25” wrists well and has a couple more holes for adjustment room. Case is a very wearable 37.6mm wide, 42.2mm lug to lug, 10.9mm thick, and with 18mm lug width. This Leopard is running—get it?—at a then-unusual 28,800 bph. Running strong and keeping good time, this movement has hand-winding, hacking, and probably the most unusual quickset day/date arrangement I’ve come across. (Hold the watch vertical with the 6 pointing down and push the crown in to change the date, flip it for the 12 down and push in to change the day. There’s a clever gravity-driven lever!)
