Continuing to downsize my collection and listing a Seiko 6139-6002 chronograph from March 1971. This model is an early "Resist" dial model, similar to the one worn by Cmdr. William Pogue on Spacelab except in blue. Pogue's watch is widely acknowledged as the first automatic chronograph in space.

When I acquired the watch, it was in a parts state but fully original. I contacted a well-known vintage Seiko specialist on the Seiko Citizen Watch Forum and had him perform a full "sympathetic restoration" replacing any broken or damaged parts, and servicing the movement, but largely leaving the character and wear on the watch intact. The only aftermarket parts used are an EastTech gasket kit, EastTech 6139 crystal, and Uncle Seiko president bracelet. (I do have the original parts to be included to buyer should they wish to have them.) Work was completed in Nov. 2019.
