Good morning r/watchexchange. Selling a SRP777 Turtle I bought on here a while ago. Please read the whole text, this one is a write up since it’s a goofy piece. Previous owner had removed the bezel to add some artificial wear/ghosting. That’s why the crystal is pristine but the bezel and case aren’t. Bezel is scratched but functional, case has some wear and tear but looks pretty good. Drilled lugs, 47.8mm long and 44mm wide, it wears smaller than the size suggests. If you can fit an SKX, you can probably fit this. Seiko lumibrite on hands, dial, & bezel pip. It’s a bright piece and a great diver! Movement: this is the other tricky part. The quick set day/date function doesn’t work. Spoke with some people, the likely reason is that there are 2-3 white plastic gears under the dial side. These are a sort of "fail safe" if the date has been changed with the quick set function while the actual date change is occuring (10-4 at night). They make these out of relatively easy to change sacrificial parts to avoid damage to the movement. I just don’t have the effort to go into that level of repair at this time. You can still change the day and date mind you by using the old school day date change function (like a Vostok, wind forward and backwards from 9-12 or from 12-3, I can explain further if you’d like).
