Seiko SBBN007 aka 300M Tuna. Stainless steel case and shroud, rock solid Seiko quartz movement keeping exact time vs NIST. Lume is brilliant and lasts all night. Based on the serial number, it was built in 2005. Its on a Seiko silicon Z22 with metal keeper. No box or papers.

This watch has had a few modifications: sapphire crystal, shroud was heat anodized - it looks bronze most angles, but has blue hues in a few angles, and the bezel insert looks to be a replacement.

It has a few nicks and scuffs, but nothing very obvious to the eye. The main negative in my opinion is the bezel action is gritty feeling and not smooth turning.

Priced to get it to a new home -$550 OBO shipped in USA.

The company was founded in 1881, when Kintarō Hattori opened a watch and jewelry shop called "K. Hattori" (服部時計店 Hattori Tokeiten?) in the Ginza area of Tokyo, Japan. Eleven years later, in 1892, he began to produce clocks under the name Seikosha (精工舎 Seikōsha?), meaning roughly "House of Exquisite Workmanship". According to Seiko's official company history, titled "A Journey In Time: The Remarkable Story of Seiko" (2003), Seiko is a Japanese word meaning "exquisite" or "success" ("exquisite" is usually written 精巧 from Chinese jīngqiǎo, while the meaning "success" is usually written 成功 from Chinese chénggōng).

Seiko is perhaps best known for its wristwatches, all of which were at one time produced entirely in-house.
