I am offering this outstanding example of a mid-century Chronomètre Royal watch for sale from my personal collection. This is reference 6107 from 1957. The Chronomètre Royals from the 1950s were among the first wrist watches with hacking seconds and certified as chronometers for civilian use. These were some of the first "tool" watches produced for civilian customers. This is a really magnificent watch and this particular example is in superb original condition. The size is 34mm but it wears bigger due to the very large quarter Maltese Cross lugs. Vacheron Constantin performed a full service on the watch, completed in May 2016. The watch is running perfectly after more than 60 years. The case is excellent condition with sharp edges and crisp visible hallmarks.

NOTE: A similar ref. 6111 Chronomètre Royal was recently sold at auction for $25,000 USD (June 27, 2020). These Chronomètre Royals are rising sharply in price.
