I bought this watch new a couple decades ago, and I have only worn it a few times to formal events. Unfortunately, I now believe this watch to be just a bit too small for my wrists, so I have decided to pass it on. Up for sale is an ARSA Auguste Reymond Automatic Tank. This is an incredible value for a watch in this condition from a heritage swiss brand. I would prefer payment through Zelle or Paypal, but other methods can be arranged if necessary. Due to a memo from the moderators, F&F PayPal transactions are not accepted. Condition and History: The watch is in excellent condition overall. The curved sapphire crystal and display caseback are flawless with no scratches or chips. The case has a few light scratches not visible in natural lighting, and the case still has its factory mirror polish. The silver dial has a very interesting shine across multiple angles that I have never seen before, and it is flawless under magnification. The watch also has a blue cabochon crown. The included strap is solid. The watch wears very well due to its smaller size and curved case. Offers: Sale is preferred, but I will review any offers sent my way. Extra History: This watch is from the early 2000s, when Auguste Reymond was still a family-owned business that broke off from the Swatch group and before it was acquired and moved to a new location. It uses a Swiss ETA 2671 movement, a slightly shrunken version of the time-tested ETA 2824-2, but without the same hand-winding issues. The watch does come freshly serviced and is running at a high amplitude. ARSA, founded by Auguste Reymond, has a long horological history dating back to the late 1800s, with its first workshop splitting off to become Valjoux and its second location creating Unitas, which stayed with ARSA until the quartz crisis. Though information is limited, the brand was likely based out of Germany or Switzerland during the time of manufacture, and was more heavily focused on the European market.
