I bought this watch for international travel but took it on one trip and just didn’t use the GMT function. It’s a great watch in great shape, but I’m not using it and want to make space in my collection. I’m including a 22mm Horween leather strap from Boldr (worth $50) and a 22mm nato strap with spring bars that I bought specifically for this watch (both look great on it). The watch is currently fitted for a 7.25” wrist, and all additional links are included. Everything in the pictures is included. Overall, the watch is almost like new. There’s a small scratch on the right side of the case, easily polished away, and a small scratch on the date magnifier, only visible in certain light. Otherwise, crystal, bezel, and case are clean. Scratches on clasp are from being at my computer desk. **Price drop - asking $259**. (MSRP around $475).Please reach out with any questions or concerns. Free shipping, CONUS only. The company was founded in 1881, when Kintarō Hattori opened a watch and jewelry shop called "K. Hattori" (服部時計店 Hattori Tokeiten?) in the Ginza area of Tokyo, Japan. Eleven years later, in 1892, he began to produce clocks under the name Seikosha (精工舎 Seikōsha?), meaning roughly "House of Exquisite Workmanship". According to Seiko's official company history, titled "A Journey In Time: The Remarkable Story of Seiko" (2003), Seiko is a Japanese word meaning "exquisite" or "success" ("exquisite" is usually written 精巧 from Chinese jīngqiǎo, while the meaning "success" is usually written 成功 from Chinese chénggōng).

Seiko is perhaps best known for its wristwatches, all of which were at one time produced entirely in-house. This includes not only major items such as microgears, motors, hands, crystal oscillators, batteries, sensors, LCDs but also minor items such as the oils used in lubricating the watches and the luminous compounds used on the hands and the dials.
