Hello all, looking to sell my lightly used seiko GMT. The watch is in good conditions with only minor scratching to the bracelet and clasp. The case, dial, bezel, and hands are all in excellent condition. I wore this watch off and on for around 4 months so the damage is pretty light, no deep scratches anywhere on the watch. The dial images don’t do it justice, it’s is absolutely stunning in person. The exhibition sapphire case back is also very beautiful and without damage. I hate to see this beauty sit in my watch case as I have just recently purchased a green Omega and it redundant in my collection. The watch comes without a box or papers as I never thought I would sell the watch but I’m sure I can get a receipt from where I purchased it from. I have just completed my first sale on this site last week with a happy customer. I can provide personal information about the business I own for anyone who is worried about scamming. The watch will be shipped from my office, insured with FedEx, and the transaction will be done via PayPal goods and services to ensure you are secure.

The company was founded in 1881, when Kintarō Hattori opened a watch and jewelry shop called "K. Hattori" (服部時計店 Hattori Tokeiten?) in the Ginza area of Tokyo, Japan. Eleven years later, in 1892, he began to produce clocks under the name Seikosha (精工舎 Seikōsha?), meaning roughly "House of Exquisite Workmanship". According to Seiko's official company history, titled "A Journey In Time: The Remarkable Story of Seiko" (2003), Seiko is a Japanese word meaning "exquisite" or "success" ("exquisite" is usually written 精巧 from Chinese jīngqiǎo, while the meaning "success" is usually written 成功 from Chinese chénggōng).

Seiko is perhaps best known for its wristwatches, all of which were at one time produced entirely in-house. This includes not only major items such as microgears, motors, hands, crystal oscillators, batteries, sensors, LCDs but also minor items such as the oils used in lubricating the watches and the luminous compounds used on the hands and the dials.
