Very few independent brands do field watches better than O&A, and the Olmsted might be their best model to date. Clean, simple, and balanced - this watch is meant for the outdoors. Dark gray and orange are never a bad combination - and paired with a sandwich dial (with impressive lume on the numerals), they really nailed the design here. Based in Chicago, Oak & Oscar has made quite the name for themselves over the last decade or so. Based on Chicago, their Midwestern roots run strong - this can be seen in their designs. No nonsense, but with a killer attention to detail. With O&A, what you see is what you get - nothing less. The Olmsted Matte (like most O&A models) sold out very quickly at release, and after handling this one, I'm absolutely unsurprised at that.
