A short background to the watch history, Tissot have a long history with formula 1 that still is going strong today. The Tissot Quartz F1 watch was Tissot’s first F1 watch. It has a high technology quartz movement with 4 jewels and it also has gears unlike the plastic affairs you get in today quartz watches. The caliber is a 2030, and setting the time on this watch is totally unique to this caliber. Hours are set by pulling crown out and turning as normal but the minutes are set by pushing the crown in and holding for five seconds, then releasing and pushing it back in again. The minutes hand then start whizzing around on its own until your release the crown in and letting go which rapidly advances it or just holding the crown in to make the second hand stop until you desire it to start again. Setting time on this watch is more like a ritual that one needs to perform. The watch comes with the original bracelet with the Tissot signed clasp, that would easily fit to a person with a wrist size of 8inches. The watch is unpolished and has some minor signs of wear that can be seen in picture provided. The case is also in decent condition, has the original Tissot (T) signed crown. Case width is 34.4mm, case width with crown 37.4mm, case length 43mm, case depth 12.5mm and lug width of 20mm.
