$4950 shipped. Watch measures 41.5mm in diameter, 47.5mm lug to lug, 13mm thick, and has a 22mm lug width. Watch runs on the caliber FS01 seems pretty accurate but with no seconds hand I can’t give an exact timing. Chiming happens at the top of each hour pretty much exactly an hour apart so all functions seem to be working well. Cosmetically the watch is in great condition. The only marks I can see are the smallest of scratches around 6 o’clock on the bezel, really have to be searching for it and angling the watch to see it, and a smaller hairline scratch on the side of the case near the bottom right lug. Besides that it’s as clean as you can ask for and the original strap was worn once. Watch comes with original box, papers, about 4.5 years of warranty remaining, and extra suede blue strap you see pictured. Christopher Ward was founded by Chris Ward, Mike France and Peter Ellis on a boat on the river Thames in 2004.

In 2005, Christopher Ward released their first watch which created a whole new model for the watchmaking industry. When influential watch bloggers wrote about their watches on TimeZone, Christopher Ward were being discussed more than Rolex in December 2005.

For the company’s 10th anniversary in 2014, it merged with Swiss manufacturing partners Synergies Horlogères SA to create Christopher Ward London Holdings Ltd. This culminated in the launch of Christopher Ward’s first in-house movement, Calibre SH21, in July 2014. Conceived and designed over the past four years by Christopher Ward’s watchmaker, Johannes Jahnke, the SH21 is entirely Swiss-made by some craftsmen. This release is said to be “probably the most important development by a British watch brand in the past 50 years.”

Christopher Ward London was the only watch company to rank in The Sunday Times SME Export Track 100, ranking 77th in 2015.
