Not something you'll see everyday. A perfectly charming Limited edition by Alpina, limited to 883 pieces and completely sold out. Alpina Startimer Heritage Pilot AL-435BN4SH6 is an impressive Swiss Made mechanical watch. This watch pays homage to the true, real pilot watches and its a big boy at 50mm. No, it doesn't wear smaller, its a big piece! Thats said with a thickness of only 11.5 it's not as bulky as you may initially figure. This decorated Unitas 6498 movement is visible through the caseback, which can be opened with a button on the side of the case. The condition is good to very good, there are some faint scratches here or there but nothing deep and no gouges. Crystals, front and back, are pristine. The watch is dated late 2013, I don't know the service history but the current amplitude on the watch is well over 300 so I assume attention has been paid to it at some point. ​ Watch and I are in Ottawa, Canada.
