The Desert Shield is a well-known and popular model. Commemorating an important military operation, this is a unique concept and the only Russian watch featuring an American flag. Service history is unknown. Desert Shields were produced in multiple batches, with different components (at least 3 different cases, automatic and manual movements, dials with or without Vostok logos, etc.). This one is a classic amphibian with an automatic movement (produced after the original series), and the classic amphibian bezel with a lume dot. Must be among the last ones produced as there's no longer USSR mention on the dial. Case is about 40mm. Comes on a black leather strap in used condition.
