How do I have NUMBER ONE of the original Baltic Aquascaphe Bronze release? That’s a question I asked the guys behind Baltic when I got the chance to meet them at Worn and Wound - they were blown away when I took this off my wrist and handed it to them! They had no idea either, it was THE watch they used in photos for the original release. Somehow it made its way into production and into my collection. I love it, I think this is such a cool piece with an amazing story, but it’s also an incredible watch that deserves to be worn more than it is, so before offering it back to Baltic, figure I’d offer it up to another collector to enjoy! YEAR: 2020 DIAL: Much has been written about Baltic’s blue gilt dial, and for good reason - it’s AWESOME! Going from dark blue to bright metallic when the light light hits it, with those great vintage style numerals filled with aged lume, it’s such a sweet combo! It’s also incredibly hard to capture with the double dome sapphire crystal (also an awesome vintage inspired touch) but hopefully this does it justice! CASE: 39MM bronze case with rotating bezel wears like a dream! Hitting that sweet spot in the tool watch world, and as you can see, the bronze has already taken on an incredible patina - you get purples and blues in there! It’s just an awesome ever changing aspect of the watch, that can also very easily be brought back to its original shiny state. This is a great way to dip a toe into the world of bronze watches! And of course, stamped NUMBER 001!!! STRAP: Comes on its original dark blue Baltic rubber strap with matching bronze buckle. Baltic rubber straps are fantastic, very soft and a joy to wear. aware. Strap has one additional hole punched, but all in fantastic shape. MOVEMENT: The Miyota cal 9039 automatic movement is running beautifully, as you would expect for being just over three years old. Winding and setting is very smooth, and timegrapher numbers are fantastic at 10 seconds a day with an amplitude of 297! ACCESSORIES: This is a full complete collector’s set - which is how you want to find number one! Double boxed (outer box has light storage wear) original booklet - everything down to the original protective sticker for the crystal! PRICE: it’s a tricky one to price, seeing as it’s number one, but of course I always want to be fair, so decided to go slightly under current retail, $695 which will include 2 day fully insured shipping anywhere in the US.
