Today on offer is a Glashütte from 1970 with the serial number 498993. It has a very funky mint green dial and 36mm rhodium plated white gold case und uses a hand-wound GUB 69.1 movement. The hour markers are white arabic numerals on twelve, six and nine, with a date on three. It is in fantastic condition- as close to unworn as you can get over 50years and it was recently inspected and serviced by a watch shop in Austria and, as far as I can tell, is keeping excellent time. There is a light mark on the back, probably from a spring-bar tool at some point, but that is the only blemish. The color of the dial is a really weird sort of light mint green that is hard to describe and I'm not sure the photos reflect it completely accurately, but I've done my best (my wrist is about 6.5”, btw and it fits perfectly). I have a similar version of this in Red and it was a toss-up between selling this one or the red, but as I own a lot of green clothes, this is the one that gets sold. I am selling in the US only or happy to grab a coffee in New York City. There are very few examples of this in the United States as this was an East German company at the time. The watch is in GREAT CONDITION and the Glashütte logo and the weird color make this pretty unique. I've sold a bunch of other Glashütte watches and have heard nothing but good things after the fact as well!
