Well is one you don’t see every day, the Tudor Date Day! You’re essentially getting a Day Date in stainless on jubilee for a fraction of the price! Also very cool to see what was happening under the Rolex umbrella with Tudor at this time - this has a Rolex signed crown and Rolex signed case back. AND this beautiful example from 1984 comes complete with box and papers! So who’s turning 40 this year and wants to celebrate in style? (Or who’s a George Orwell fan?!) REF: 94710 SERIAL: 904XX DATE: 1984 DIAL: Absolutely BEAUTIFUL silver sunburst dial that’s incredibly clean! Perfectly aged tritium lume matches between the dial and the hands, and all lights up evenly under UV. Vintage plexi crystal has wear, as expected, but nothing that detracts from the gorgeous dial, and I believe it to be original so always want to keep. All in, looks incredible! CASE: 35MM stainless steel case (usually see these listed as 36MM, but calipers put it at 35MM, virtually identical to a 36MM Datejust.) The term unpolished gets thrown around a lot - I try not to - but I believe this might be that! Beautiful lugs with incredibly sharp lines, which also means there is light wear throughout, mostly seen on the sides, but this is how you want to find this case! Another incredible feature of this one is the bezel, an awesome combo of smooth and fluted, perfect for every day while still adding a splash o’ class! MOVEMENT: Tudor’s ETA based automatic with quickset date is running beautifully! Service history is unknown but winding, setting, and date change is all very smooth with fantastic timegrapher numbers at 5 seconds a day with an extremely healthy amplitude of 301! BRACELET: Tudor signed 6248-20 jubilee bracelet with correct 596 end links. Also has light wear, mainly seen on the clasp, of course, but also looks absolutely beautiful! Great to find a large example too, this will go up to app 7.75 inches, and has minimal stretch!
