This is a watch that needs little introduction, it’s quickly become THE Grand Seiko - talking about the Shunbun of course, AKA Cherry Blossom! From that incredible textured dial (even macro photos can’t do it justice, in person it’s mind blowing!) to its renowned titanium polishing to the tiniest of details - I will go on record saying modern watches at this price point do not get better! And this is an incredible example that could pass as new, only a year old, in a full FULL AD set! REF: SBGA413 SERIAL: 2104XX DATE: 2023 DIAL: It’s a masterpiece! The kind of dial you just need to see under a loupe and stare at for hours! It goes from this rich silver to then include a blush of pink or hints of red depending on the light. The polishing on the hands and hour markers is amazing (the light hits them and you don’t need lume!) plus the gold detailing on the GS logo, and then that incredible seconds hand as it ever-so-smoothly sweeps by… wow! CASE: 40mm titanium case is plain awesome! Barely any weight to it at all, disappears on the wrist. And the angles on this design, a modern interpretation of the classic 62GS, combining epic lines with an incredible mix of brushed and polished… add in the bezel-less design that makes the dial look like it’s floating… oof! This example is in near mint shape, aside from a micro scratch here or there, this could pass as new! CRYSTAL: Sapphire crystal looks as good as new as well, even under a loupe I’m not seeing any wear. MOVEMENT: Grand Seiko’s unbelievable 9R65 spring drive movement is everything people say about it and more! 72 hour power reserve, accuracy within app 0.5 seconds a day, all resulting in that mesmerizing, smooth sweeping seconds hand - gets my vote for one of the best movements out there today - bringing modern tech to historic horology! BRACELET: Full titanium GS bracelet (as in all titanium AND full links - don’t believe this has ever even been sized!) feels incredible on the wrist. And in fantastic condition as well, again a light micro scratch here or there, but even the clasp isn’t showing the common desk diving marks, another sign this beauty has barely been worn! ACCESSORIES: Absolutely full and complete AD set - double boxed, warranty card (just over a year old) full spring drive booklet (which GS just stopped including) hang tag, GS cloth, everything down to the original little price tag sticker was kept!
