That is a Rolex Datejust 1601. And this is an awesome example which looks like your standard silver sunburst dial, and it is that, but then look a little closer and you’ll see some really unique hour markers! Comes on a beautiful leather strap and/or optional jubilee bracelet. REFERENCE: 1601 SERIAL: 3,744,XXX YEAR: 1974 DIAL: The Rolex silver sunburst pie pan dial is a thing of beautiful. This is a fantastic example, (with only the tiniest bit of edge wear seen under a loupe) and beautifully tritium lume. Look a little closer and what at first appears to be standard stick hour markers reveals a pyramid like design, with raised center. A rarity I’ve seen only a handful of times before, it gives some great depth to the dial! CRYSTAL: Plexi crystal is new, in perfect condition. CASE: Really nice 36MM stainless steel case with solid 18k white gold bezel. Lugs are nice and thick with great brushing on top. Has wear throughout, mostly seen on the polished sides, as to be expected, but all in a great vintage example! MOVEMENT: Iconic Rolex cal 1570, and being from 1974 it has hacking seconds. Service history is unknown, but winds and sets beautifully and timegrapher numbers are great at 9 seconds a day and a very healthy amplitude of 280! STRAP/ BRACELET: Comes on a beautiful brand new dark brown leather strap, helping it further stand out of the Datejust crowd! Also can be paired with a Rolex jubilee for an additional $250. The bracelet has average stretch and can fit up to approximately 7 inches. The bracelet and end links are original, but I believe the clasp was replaced at some point based on the stampings, hence the lower price.
