Transitions are tricky. Moving from one path to the next ain’t easy. And Rolex is not immune. The “Swiss Only” dial speaks to that, when Rolex moved from tritium to luminova loume around 1999. Lesser known but still documented is the “tritinova” dial. Only found in 1997/1998 U serial, for a very brief period Rolex still used the “Swiss T < 25” dial, denoting tritium, but they did in fact start using luminova lume. As far as neo vintage goes, I think it’s the best of both worlds - the vintage look with modern functioning! That’s what we have here, in a beautiful sharp example complete with Rolex service card and receipt! REF: 14060 SERIAL: U353XXX DATE: 1997 DIAL: Beautiful tritinova dial! Nice and even across the dial, hands, and bezel pip, and all sparking up the same under UV as well. The no date 2 liner is such a clean design, and this a great example, including an incredibly clean bezel insert! CASE: 40mm case is clean as well, and sharp with those beautiful chamfers still present. Light wear mostly seen on the sides, but all in presents beautifully. CRYSTAL: Sapphire crystal looks perfect, showing off that gorgeous dial. MOVEMENT: Service history unknown but winding and setting very smoothly and running incredibly well, within timegrapher showing 5 seconds per day with a very healthy amplitude of 325! BRACELET: Original correct date code stamped 93150 Rolex oyster bracelet with original 501B endlinks. 11 links total, so will fit up to app 7.5 inches.
