For sale is a 1965 ref 889980 Sportsman Calendar with original packaging and tags. The watch, bracelet, inner box, and tags are pristine. The outer cardboard box has some damage; it is complete, but has some stains and the top flap has separated.

The watch itself is in an approximately 36mm STP case with SW crown and Seahorse back. It has a lovely silver sunburst sector dial, similar to an Alpinist from the era, but with a date function. The hands are lumed, including the arrow tip of the sweep hand. The watch comes with its rare original bracelet, unsized and unworn. I really don't want to tamper with the watch, but I tested the winding, setting, and date-change, and everything works. I have never worn it, and obviously I'm not going to open it. The next owner will receive it in pristine condition.

The Seahorse case-back and SW crown are indications of early waterproof Seiko models. It has a Seiko STP case.
